San Marino vs. England: Goals, Highlights from European Qualifier

England travel to San Marino knowing a win will qualify them for next summer's European Championship. 

The visitors took 13 minutes to go ahead in a game they are highly expected to win, with Wayne Rooney converting a controversial penalty to equal Sir Bobby Charlton's record of 49 England goals.

And England doubled their advantage on the half-hour mark, courtesy of a headed own goal by San Marino defender Cristian Brolli. 

Curiously enough, Brolli's mishap was the 49th time England have benefitted from an own goal, meaning own goals had also drawn level with Rooney and Charlton as England's all-time leading scorer.

England took a 2-0 advantage into half-time, before taking just 15 seconds of the second half to add a third, Ross Barkley nodding in from an Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain cross for his first England goal.

Theo Walcott was the next to get his name on the scoresheet, stabbing home from close range shortly after coming on off the bench.

Shortly after, Tottenham striker Harry Kane became the second substitute to find the net, lofting a delightful finish over the goalkeeper to end his recent goal draught.

The goals were coming think and fast by this point, with Walcott scoring his second almost immediately after Kane's strike.

6-0 it finished, securing England's place at Euro 2016 in France.
