Eagles of Death Metal Cancel European Tour Dates Due to Injury Jesse Hughes' Finger Injury Results in Eight Cancelled Dates

Last December Eagles of Death Metal announced the rescheduled tour dates for their European tour, which was cut short following the terrible ISIS terror attacks in Paris last month, most notably at the band's concert at the Le Bataclan venue on November 13. The band were in the middle of their rescheduled dates, which has already included a triumphant show at Paris' Olympia Theater (all attendees of the Le Bataclan show were entitled to a free ticket). But now the band has been forced to cancel the remaining eight European tour dates of their current run due to frontman Jesse Hughes tearing a tendon in his finger. Shows from March 9th onwards will still go ahead (all the band's upcoming tour dates can be found on their website).

The band has posted a statement to Facebook about the cancelled shows:

"Eagles of Death Metal has regrettably been forced to cancel the remainder of their European tour due to founder Jesse Hughes tearing a tendon in his finger. Hughes has tried to play through the injury during the current tour, but doctors have advised that the only way to properly heal it is to stop playing now, or risk further injury and having to cancel several weeks worth of shows. Said Hughes: 'I'm devastated that we cannot continue what has been a life-changing return to Europe, but I need to get repaired so we can continue to play rock music around this beautiful world, including coming back to Europe even stronger in the summer.' EODM will be cancelling the last eight shows of their current European run."
