Eagles of Death Metal Cancel Post-Paris Attack Tour

Frontman Jesse Hughes' hand injury forces another postponement in performances, the band says

Rock band Eagles of Death Metal escaped November's Paris terrorist attack at one of their shows unscathed, but a simple hand injury is foiling some rescheduled dates on their current tour.

Frontman Jesse Hughes' torn finger tendon forced the band to cancel eight remaining dates in the Nos Amis European tour, according to a Rolling Stone report.

"I'm devastated that we cannot continue what has been a life-changing return to Europe, but I need to get repaired so we can continue to play rock music around this beautiful world, including coming back to Europe even stronger in the summer," Hughes said in a statement.

The Nos Amis tour itself included appearances rescheduled by the band after an attack killed more than 100 people during November's coordinated terrorist strikes around Paris.

The California-based band were headlining a sold-out show at the Bataclan, a venue on the Right Bank of the Seine River, when terrorists opened fire in the 1,500-capacity theater. With 89 people killed, it was the deadliest site in the city hit by terrorists.

Eagles of Death Metal returned to Paris earlier this month to play a concert attended by about 900 survivors of the Bataclan attack, who were given free tickets by the band.

Attacks in multiple locations on Nov. 11 resulted in as many as 60 deaths
