European Travel Commission meet in Famagusta

The Assembly took place from 11-13 May 2016. On May 11 a meeting by the Managing Board of the ETC was conducted, followed by a dinner at the Monastery of Ayia Napa.

On May 12, the General Assembly took place, in which the opening remarks were given by ETC President Peter De Wilde, Minister of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism Yiorgos Lakkotrypis, and the Deputy General Manager of the CTO Annita Demetriadou.

The program was completed on May 13 with an excursion on a boat in the Protaras area, followed by a meal offered by the Paralimni Municipality.

The Assembly was attended by representatives from Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Esthonia, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Iceland, Norway and Slovenia.

All the participants expressed their satisfaction for the exceptional organising of the event by the CTO, speaking positively about their experience in Cyprus.
